Have you ever managed to make outsourcing actually work?

I’m so stuck right now. I’ve got this big project that needs Python expertise, but hiring has been a nightmare. I tried outsourcing once, and the whole thing fell apart—missed deadlines, constant misunderstandings. But my team can’t handle it all alone anymore. I’m seriously at a loss here.
